It wouldn't have cost that much. At most, enough to feed a tiny % of the world's poor just one small meal. Instead of that easily forgotten snack, we now have this, something to fire the imagination for generations.
Some money has to be spent on spectacles, or life would be shit. Without people with money to burn, there would be no show business.

There's something truely uplifting about this. Its definitely do or die but get it right and you're a super hero.
